VINCI Park teams up with Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council
VINCI
Park , has signed a new contract with Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council in
West Yorkshire to provide on and off street enforcement. The four year contract, with a possible two year extension, came into effect on 29 March 2010.
Run by the Council since November 2006, the new contract sees seven existing members of staff TUPE transfer to
VINCI
Park . An additional thirteen new members of staff will be recruited to supplement the existing workforce to the levels required under the contract.
VINCI
Park has committed, as part of the new contract, to significant staff development and training, with all Civil Enforcement Officers being encouraged to take NVQ Level 2 in Controlling Parking Areas during the next 12 months.
The procurement process has been conducted through the Essex Procurement Hub’s Parking Management and Enforcement Services Framework Agreement, as awarded to
VINCI
Park following a competitive tender. This Framework Agreement is open to any Public Sector Body and makes use of the British Parking Association’s model contract. The main benefit to clients making use of this Agreement, in comparison to the more traditional procurement process, is the ability to “fast-track” their procurement process and benefit from significant time and cost savings.
Based at new premises in Halifax town centre,
VINCI
Park will introduce several initiatives to provide staff with a convenient way of getting around the borough, which covers 140 square miles. These include providing staff with mopeds and push bikes as a time saving and environmental mode of transportation.
