Judges' Special Award Winner
Nick Schroeder and Bradley Downer at our City of London contract won this award for their forward thinking and cost saving bicycle maintenance initiative.
The contract currently has six bicycles, used by the Rapid Response Team. Each year the bicycles need to be serviced in addition to any parts that may be needed. This could end up proving quite costly for the contract.
Nick and Bradley identified that they were able to attend a bicycle maintenance course so that they could carry out the servicing and repairs in house.
Not only have both employees used their initiative to save on costs they have also gained new skills and taken on extra work within their roles, for this they won the award.
