VINCI Park doubles UK operation with Meteor acquisition
VINCI
Park has acquired Meteor Parking from the Go-Ahead Group, in a move which will double the specialist parking operator’s size in the UK.
The deal for 100% of Meteor’s shares will see
VINCI
Park take control of an additional 40,000 car parking spaces across the UK. Meteor has operations at hospitals, train stations and retail outlets across the country. It also manages airport parking and bussing operations at a number of airports.
Meteor’s portfolio of contracts will complement
VINCI
Park’s already extensive list of clients and add to a portfolio which also includes hospital trusts, PFI consortia, property companies and local authorities.
The acquisition will also see
VINCI
Park make its first moves in to valet parking in the through the Meteor ‘Meet and Greet’ service.
Supported by the VINCI Group, one of
VINCI Park CEO Mark Evans’ strategies is to buy businesses which expand its geographical and product reach.
The Meteor deal comes just over a year after the company acquired Karspace Management; which strengthens its position in the hospital and local authority sectors.
