VINCI Park wins new Gatwick contract
VINCI Park has recently won a key contract from BAA Gatwick to provide a new traffic marshalling service at London Gatwick Airport.
The aim of the scheme is to improve traffic flow and security around the UK's second busiest air gateway. There will be special emphasis on perimeter roads and forecourts, from where the new Marshalls will operate.
The new service forms a key element in a major BAA Gatwick programme, designed to improve accessibility at terminals. Work is already under way on redesigning forecourts at the South Terminal, where passenger throughput continues to grow year on year.
The new service will provide additional support to the existing team and will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Customer service skills will be vital to this new role, as Marshalls will be among the first representatives of the airport that passengers or vistors will see. Their role will therefore be supported by dedicated training, delivered as part of our VINCI Park training programme.
VINCI Park will operate the contract through our existing Management team at Gatwick, where we currently run 7,700 parking spaces in 11 airport staff car parks.
