Transformation at West Suffolk Hospital

VINCI Park has invested over £200,000 to modernise the car parks at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. Within six months of winning this contract, VINCI Park has completed a major overhaul of the appearance and performance of the car parks, as part of a total re-branding.

Markings and signs have been improved, a new variable message sign installed and a new management system for permits brought in.  A  ‘SMART’ Card payment system has also been introduced for staff, as a convenient alternative to cash.

Perhaps most importantly, there is now a manned Parking Office, with trained Parking Attendants, to provide extra security as well as personal assistance when needed by staff, visitors or patients. With free bikes for patients and staff, and new landscaping, the improved arrival and car parking experience has completely transformed the image of the hospital.
